What browser should I use?
This site will function with any browser.

Do I need to enable JavaScript in my browser?
Enabling JavaScript will allow you to experience some additional functionality of the site, such as collapsible menus and instant views of your progress through the courses. However, the site will function correctly without JavaScript. To enable JavaScript, please consult your browser’s help resources.

How do I view the videos within a course?
Some of the lessons include links to short video clips. You will need to have Windows Media Player installed to view the videos. You can download the free Windows Media Player from Microsoft’s Web site.

How the Pages in a Course Work

The picture below illustrates how a typical page within the course will look. The screen elements are numbered and described below.

1. Course Left Navigation Bar: Use this menu to log in and log out, edit your account settings, view your progress, and navigate between courses and individual lessons. Your progress is viewable only after you log in.
2. Top Navigation Bar: Use the top menu to access information about the courses, CME credits, using the site, and to contact us.
3. Location Bar: The green bar at the top of each lesson page tells you the lesson number and page that you are viewing. The linked text just below the green bar tells you the current course, lesson, and topic. You can use these links to navigate to the beginning of the current lesson, the information page for the current course, or the home page of the site.
4. Content: This is where the lesson content will appear. You will notice that the content for each lesson is structured similarly. Each lesson begins with an introduction to core concepts, then states the learning objectives for the lesson before continuing to the main body of the lesson. Each lesson ends with a Conclusion page, from which you can view the list of references or continue on to the quiz.
5. Page Navigation: Use the “next page” and “previous page” links at the bottom of the page to navigate through the lesson content. You may review the content as many times as you like.

Privacy Policy

In order to take a course on the Science of Sex and Gender in Human Health Web site, we ask that you complete a brief registration form. However, if you do not wish to receive continuing education credit, you will not be required to enter your real name and/or contact information. The following describes how we handle information about your visit to our Web site.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically
If you are not logged in to the Web site, we only gather and store basic information about your visit, none of which identifies you personally. This information about users/visitors will not be sold, shared, or used in any commercial way. We automatically collect and store only the following information about your visit:
